Jewellery designing is a work of great artmanship and requires a lot of perseverance. Jewelry designers are entrusted with the job of understanding the customers' requirements and current market trends and come out with new designs quickly. The problem is what the designer feels good is not always the customer's taste. So what we require is a common platform where the designer and the customer actually can visualize the design and the customer is satisfied.

What is Rachaita ?

In view of the above requirements we thought of giving market the right tool which would not only help a designer to visually express his designs but also has the flexibility to modify the designs according to customers' need any time. Rachaita is graphical software, which is not intended to replace a jewelry designer, but to simplify his job. It has a powerful and user friendly graphical interface, which makes his job a matter of mouse clicks. It enables the user to create and reproduce his customized designs quickly. This software provides 'easy to use' tools with which the user can not only edit his designs but also present a convincing final look of the desired outcome, to his customer.

Basic Features :

• Rachaita provides user friendly workbench to designers for easy and fast designing. It provides shortcuts and
toolbars for quick access to tools and functions. The workbench is the area where the designer can put all his
design components and work on it using the various tools to produce a design. Once the design is over then
one can save the complete design. • Rachaita comes with a huge library of pre-designed accessories, which makes the life of the designer much
simpler. Now he doesn't have to concentrate on building small components for his jewelry. Instead he can now
focus this time to innovate new designs. Moreover this library is flexible enough to accommodate new designs
and accessories. Therefore this ever growing library is capable of catering new market trends and is
obsolescence proof. • Fast browsing mechanisms like 'searching on keywords' enable user to quickly arrive at the accessories
actually suitable for his design.
• The concept of library doesn't restrict the designer from using his own accessories in fact with the integrated scanning feature, he can quickly scan the new designs and pick up the required accessories directly from the
scanned design and integrate in his own library. • Rachaita supports a multilayered designing environment where the user can put different components at
different layers and then can group them together to make a design which he further can put on a different
layer.
Any layer can be hide or shown anytime.
• Design components from the library once put onto the canvas can then be resized, rotated, deleted, moved etc.
as required. • Components can be grouped together and various operations can be performed on the whole group. The
group can be pushed into the library. • The predefined designs may not serve the purpose as one may want to select certain area of an existing
design in making up of a new design. The cropping feature enables the user to select a certain area either by
freehand or by certain predefined shapes like an ellipse and a rectangle and can create a new component. • The finished design can be printed using the print command. • Record can be kept of the visiting customers like their name, address and the designs purchased or short listed
by them. The record can be accessed by name. • Rachaita supports fully integrated help with tool tips to help the new users. |
